Wendy Alec, co-founder of GOD TV, says that she has not received a salary from the Christian broadcaster since July. The London born author and presenter is now asking supporters for personal financial help.
On her Facebook page she writes:
"Beloved friends - I am going to be SO very vulnerable with you now - And brutally honest as well. Deep breathx...
To explain to those who may not understand... I in a short term extremely tough transition period where after the divorce I am still faced with paying quarterly rent; council tax; utilities and other bills connected with the divorce. And I presently have NO Income. Things happened re GOD TV that I am not at liberty to discuss or disclose... only to say that my salary was terminated abruptly and with virtually no warning in July... no severance pay."
She goes on to detail her difficult circumstances following her high-profile divorce to Rory Alec in 2015 but says that she is unable to give further details of the current situation between herself and GOD TV.
She writes: "You know me. This is REALLY HARD FOR ME TO ASK THIS.
I have never in 21 years asked for myself but always promoted others to the best of my ability."
The GOD TV website also appears to have scaled back on references to its co-founder and presenter.
Founded in the UK in 1995, GOD TV has a global viewing audience of 1.1 billion people.
UPDATE: Wendy Alec says that her ex-husband and co-founder of GOD TV, Rory Alec is getting remarried this weekend (16/17 September 2017).
"I honestly didn't think it would affect me," she says. "I've had so much prayer healing deliverance and cut all soul ties... but it has far more than I realised... The end of an era of 30 years."

She is NOT with GodTv. I will tell you without a shadow of a doubt, this was NOT her choice. She had Zero recourse but to go public on Facebook for help. She just received her rights back only regarding her Chrronicles series. The last hasn't been heard on this. I've attorney her side day in and day out but even greater GOD stands on the side of pure truth.

Deleteregardless how big or small the sin or error there is always room at the cross for that person and room in Gods kingdom for that person to be in. The real christians will know what to do when they hear or see any shortfalls in other people.

DeleteHow cheap and how small are the people of God. Grace is a free gift and Wendy will be given a righteous trial before God. Though God delays He will surely bless her with more finances than before and use her gifts to further the Kingdom of God. She does not have to change her calling... she is gifted by God and will prosper and be a light to the Nations. DeleteAre you providing more than just words of comfort to your sister, sr pastor? Will your words keep her warm or put food in her stomach? Yes I believe she is a gifted woman, and God will provide and her latter days will be greater than her former. However do not just give words give help, Wendy has risen above pride to reveal what's going on. Nobody knows what is yet to be birthed except God, so don't be like pharisee man and say "tut, tut poor you, I'm standing with you, and then just walk on by... God Sees and God Knows!

DeletePeople of God it pains my heart to see a family crumbling down. Family is in the heart of God let us pray for Wendy. Divorce is difficult and the ramifications disastrous.Respect what Wendy has done for the kingdom of God. If you can support her please do so if not please pray for her. It is behaviour such as this that gets Christians a bad name.....you can tell them by their fruit. If God TV can't treat the people who gave 30 years of their lives to create it properly then they can't be trusted with donations. Whatever the couple's private circumstances the business should be based on ethics.

Wendy should get out and look for work and not beg people to help her.

That scripture was talking to the husbands. If you're not loving, encouraging and compassionate why post anything on here and be judgemental. Work out your own salvation in fear and trembling. We all will give an account to God for every careless word.
DeleteThe talk of go and work is a bit misplaced. Wendy has written quite clearly that she's in a tough transition. That means she has plans for the next move but for now she's in transit with something to overcome first. Like at airport transit lounge you are still not at the destination planned. The request is for now and that must be respected with financial help not just words. She's worked for many years building God TV so I am sure there are some due processes which will bounce her back into something new. She has talent and God the Father of Lord Jesus is merciful. The transit could take some few months or years as she faces the intense challenges. So choice is to help or not help with money. That's what is before us as we read this terrible event following divorce.

DeleteThank you so much for your love....I’ve just read this..it means so very much to me...I had to fight for all my intellectual property.book,tv rights etc for nearly 4 years to get them back from Rory,therefore couldn’t even legally print one book....Finally it was resolved around 2 months ago....Have just completed Chronicles Book 5,signed with Harper Collins..in face the 4 audio books of Chronicles were released yesterday which was amazing...if you go on my Facebook you’ll see I’m still ministering in the prophetic and as a seer...To the naysayers...let me just say..I’ve worked ALL my life extremely hard...I’m not that young LOL...and if Kim Clement if he was alive or Cindy Jacobs etc etc asked for finance for their ministry.its okay....but not okay for myself???Crazy standards we have as christians��I had the opportunity during my 21 years at GOD TV to create a ministry for myself but consistently chose not to..and instead chose to sow into hundreds of other ministries and amplify THEIR voices..not mine....So there you go..it’s been the toughest time of my life...I lost my home,my dogs,half my furniture,walked away from GTV to birth another apostolic media work, fought for my book rights, but WATCH THIS SPACE...A huge thanks and hugs to those who read between the lines....and have loved and prayed for me...You’re amazing and the biggest thank you from my heart......You’re welcome to visit my Facebook page..it’s got nearly 80 000 incredible people who blow me away with their courage and love for Jesus....From my heart love Wendy

You sat to my right a couple of rows in front of me. Before the event began, you turned round and looked me in the eye. I felt the eye of God upon me and truly believe to this day that you had a word for me. One day I believe you’ll deliver it, as God will make a way for His good and faithful servant! Oh Wendy, i can’t believe what you have been put through. That is absolutely heartbreaking. You have been a great source of comfort with your prophetic words given over the years. You have a true heart for God & always have. I pray Gods blessing on you Wendy. You once prayed for my mother in law who was given less than 10 years with Bone Cancer, a week later she was scanned & found to have no cancer in her body. That was 10 years ago now & shes doing well. If you are able to read this message I ask you PLEASE to Pray for my sister Sharon who has been told she has cancer in her vertebrae, she has 2 young children. DeleteDear Wendy Alec, I have been following your life for many years and was so hurt by what happened to you with your ex-husband leaving you and with all of the ministry work that you had done together for so many years. I prayed for you extensively not to give up and to be strengthened and to receive the support from the body of Christ that you should have. Then what God.tv did was so hurtful also. I know that God saw it ALL and has you in the palm of His hand, you are the apple of His eye. I know that He remembers the love that you have shown toward His name and His people in that you weren't working on building yourself a kingdom, You have been building His kingdom. You didn't have a plan B, you poured yourself into building God.tv and did it with excellence and integrity. I want to say and I am sure there are many others: THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart , thank you for working tireless amounts of hours, weeks, months, years and decades for the kingdom of our father God. I love you so dearly and am standing with you and will continue to do so in the future. I appreciate your candidacy in allowing us in to your life and being truthful the way you have been. That couldn't have been easy. However it shows your fruit and that it is good fruit. I am appalled at the darts "Christians" can throw; but it always has been so. I never in a thousand years would've thought God TV would've closed you out entirely. My constant support of them has had a lot to do with YOU. I have always loved your sincerity, your talent and MOST OF ALL YOU!! Hi Wendy, I am totally surprised/flabbergasted to learn today that you are no longer with God TV. I moved to the Brazzaville (Rep of Congo) from Algeria, and Internet was a bit more complicated the first year. We've been partners of God TV for many years and were so sad to see you and Rory go through the divorce. But now, knowing you are no longer with God TV, I feel orphaned (is that a word?), can you believe it, I can hardly believe it! God TV without Wendy??? It's unreal! You are an amazing child of God! We love you so very much. You are one of those, they can strip you with everything, God will give it back to you because of His grace and the gifts He's given you and the special relationship you have with Him! I have no doubt you will find yourself in a better place very soon. The Lord is like that, He avenges His children, even when we've done wrong ourselves. Grace, grace and more grace! Dear Wendy, so so sad to read about all that's befallen you and your family. Very, Very, Very STRANGE PURPOSE. Nevertheless the Lord God whom you served wholeheartedly until now is a GOOD REWARDER, even if it appears as if some believers and others in Christian ministry who ought to be binding your wounds and coming to rescue are throwing stones and adding to your suffering. The Lord God is GOOD. Jesus Christ is a COMPASSIONATE SAVIOUR and your FAITHFUL LORD. As unrealistic as it may seem, GREAT GOOD IS COMING OUT THIS MESS. The MESS IS GIVING ROOM FOR A BLESSED MESSAGE, WHICH WILL BE MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYTHING BEFORE IT. The CRUSHING and PRESSING of the OLIVES will bring forth a GREATER AMOUNT OF ANOINTING OIL. Sister I am sorry for what you are going through. It's now 4 years for me since I lost everything and reduced to a destitute. But psalm 34 verse 19 says " A righteous man may have many troubles but the Lord delivers him from them ALL.Again Jesus gave a parable of house built on sand and another on rock. Sister for as long as the storms and winds are beating your house and it is still standing, know that you are blessed. Some where else he mentions of persecutions and says he who endures to the last will be saved. Take courage Sister he has given you enough grace to endure this and your breakthrough is going to be so great. I am encouraged by your situation and I am steering on. Stay blessed Sister.

Something about the way you present yourself, the passion with which you preach, teach and pray and the books you've written that just has that ring of genuine commitment to the Word of God. I didn't know what made me stop at this website today but now I realise God wanted me to pray for you. I did, and will continue to do so. God is about to do greater things through you. I was tempted to abandon GodTV for the way they've treated you but if I did, the devil would win coz that's part of his plan. Go, girl, go!

ReplyDeleteWendy, I recall back in 1995 when you and Rory attended Kensington Temple in London (my then church) to launch God TV. I was one of the early partners. You will never know how many souls your service and sacrifice brought to the Kingdom but heaven has a record. The devil found a way in but not before millions were either saved or blessed by GTV. The seeds you have sown will germinate in the souls of your viewers and in Jesus's mighty name will produce a harvest. God bless you sister and may His comfort sustain you. Joe
